About Us

My photo
The title for our blog came from the saying "thinking outside the box", which means to think differently, unconventionally or from a new perspective. "Enjoy your choices and enjoy what you do. Never let a day go by without being thankful for the fact that you get to be here in the first place." Hopefully this blog will help family and friends to stay a little closer to us even though were thousands of miles apart; as well as to share in our trials, daily life adventures and traveling experiences.

The Market and Park

We had a nice relaxing weekend. Saturday, we decided to go to the market again, only this time we purchased some fruits and vegetables. They are much cheaper at the market. They were delicious too!!!! So fresh tasting! I also bought a plant for the house. We have beautiful large windows with ledges perfect for plants. Here are just some of the pictures we took at the market to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Doug decided to pass on the fresh fish. And by fresh.....I mean they were gutted and that's it. They still had their scales and heads on! Maybe I can convince him to try some from the grocery store first.

The park we found is right outside the city. It is about a 10 minute car ride to get there. We decided to take the dogs on a little outing. The park was beautiful. It had a waterfall, a small river that ran through it with ducks and swans and there were fenced in areas with cows and deer. The deer would actually come up to you as if you were going to give them some food. We had a great time walking around all the trails. Some of them led down into wooded areas where we could let the dogs off their leashes and they could walk freely. This is definitely a place we will add to our favorite hot spots and will probably go often.
