The title for our blog came from the saying "thinking outside the box", which means to think differently, unconventionally or from a new perspective. "Enjoy your choices and enjoy what you do. Never let a day go by without being thankful for the fact that you get to be here in the first place." Hopefully this blog will help family and friends to stay a little closer to us even though were thousands of miles apart; as well as to share in our trials, daily life adventures and traveling experiences.

No Shadow

Thank you Punxsutawney Phil. We were very excited that you didn't see you're shadow on Saturday morning. I assume since it was only around 8 degrees in Punxsutawney, PA when they pulled you out of your nice cozy home, you decided the heck with this winter weather and decided like the rest of us that the sooner Spring came, the better!!

We took advantage of your prediction with the sun shinning today and ALL went for a walk. This was extra special because with the cold icy weather I have not been walking the dogs. Doug has been doing it when he gets home and other than just a few days ago, Ella and I haven't been able to go for any walks.

Instead of the stroller today we decided to give Ella's wagon she got for Christmas a try. Unfortunately the only use it has gotten so far is transporting our garbage and recycle over to the designated area at our apartment complex (not what grandpa intended it for!)
 Ella loved it and snuggled right in since this was right before naptime.
