I love to bake. I was a bit limited while living in Holland with what I was able to make but one of our household favorites are cinnamon rolls. I originally made these according to a recipe I had from a milk allergy cookbook I bought when Ella was first having so many eczema problems. We enjoyed them so much that I am still making them (just with real butter instead of dairy-free). I haven't had a chance to make any since we've moved back so I tried out a batch while Ella was napping.
I think the aroma of the cinnamon rolls woke Ella up. As soon as she was up and moving around it didn't take long for her to notice them on the cooling rack. She was practically screaming cinnamon roll as she was bouncing around. (I wished I could post her saying "cinnamon roll" because you just have to hear it in person....so cute!!) I did have to chuckle to myself because I know she likes them but I never realized how much. Therefore snack time resulted in a fresh warm cinnamon roll...YUM!
Thanks Mom!! (this is what being a stay at home mom is ALL about)

- The title for our blog came from the saying "thinking outside the box", which means to think differently, unconventionally or from a new perspective. "Enjoy your choices and enjoy what you do. Never let a day go by without being thankful for the fact that you get to be here in the first place." Hopefully this blog will help family and friends to stay a little closer to us even though were thousands of miles apart; as well as to share in our trials, daily life adventures and traveling experiences.
