We have this neighbor we see just about everyday, out for a walk with his dog. We have waved hello, but have never spoken or even know his name. Because he is elder we are pretty sure he doesn't even speak English. Each day that I watch him casually walk by our house, he brings a smile to my face.
Everyday he has on his suit, tie and hat! He reminds us that we should not save anything for a special occasion. Every day we’re alive is a special occasion. I have decided that I shouldn't save my perfume for special nights out. “Someday” and “one of these days” are losing their grip on our vocabulary. If it’s worth seeing or hearing or doing, we want to see and hear and do it now. We have been given the opportunity to live in Europe and though we don't love where we are, there are other places we can visit. We need to take the opportunity while it's available.

- The title for our blog came from the saying "thinking outside the box", which means to think differently, unconventionally or from a new perspective. "Enjoy your choices and enjoy what you do. Never let a day go by without being thankful for the fact that you get to be here in the first place." Hopefully this blog will help family and friends to stay a little closer to us even though were thousands of miles apart; as well as to share in our trials, daily life adventures and traveling experiences.
