About Us

The title for our blog came from the saying "thinking outside the box", which means to think differently, unconventionally or from a new perspective. "Enjoy your choices and enjoy what you do. Never let a day go by without being thankful for the fact that you get to be here in the first place." Hopefully this blog will help family and friends to stay a little closer to us even though were thousands of miles apart; as well as to share in our trials, daily life adventures and traveling experiences.

"Impossible"....not in our vocabulary

Our latest adventure is one that would be described by most as "impossible". After living in another country for over a year, and learning to deal with the many struggles of a completely different lifestyle and language, we have learned that nothing is impossible, just a little scary at times.

Coming back to the United States this past December was indeed, quite an adventure. I'm sure other travelers at the airport took double takes when they say us coming!! We did have 4 suitcases on the way there (5 when we returned back to Holland), 2 dog crates with loud, barking dogs, and an infant!! To most people, this type of trip screams "you're insane!" I have to admit we were a little nervous to embark on this adventure, but in the end found that it was a piece of cake!!

Ella seemed to enjoy her first flying experience. I am proud to say that she is the world's BEST baby! She did not have a single problem during any of the long flights to and from the United States. Although jet lag was a bit more difficult when entering the U.S. she adapted very well to our return to Holland.

Enjoy some pictures of our "impossible" adventure.....

Getting read to leave for the U.S.

The insane Wilcox family leaving Schipol Airport in Holland.

Before you know it, she will be considered a "frequent flyer".

Ready for take-off with her very own seatbelt, which attached to mommy's.

And last, but not least.....Tucker and Chloe are very happy to be home (doing what they do best; being a watchdog and sleeping!)
